Guy Mitchell, pseudonimo di Albert George Cernik (Detroit 1927 – Las Vegas 1999).
Cantante pop statunitense di successo internazionale A partire dalle prime registrazioni dal 1950, raggiunse un fatturato record di oltre 44 milioni di dischi, con 6 milioni di copie di singoli vendute. Nell’autunno del 1957 debuttò in uno show televisivo personale per la ABC ” The Guy Mitchell Show”.
Bruno Aloi. Nato a Genova nel 1941, si diploma nel 1960 presso l'Istituto Tecnico Nautico San Giorgio di Genova. Nel 1966 consegue il titolo professionale di Capitano di Lungo Corso.
Laureato in Lettere con la tesi "I Liguri nella Gallia meridionale".
Molteplici sono i momenti che segnano il percorso di Bruno Aloi, da ufficiale di coperta agli incarichi in diverse specializzazioni formative (corsi di sopravvivenza, mezzi di salvataggio, antincendio di base ed avanzato, corso superiore radar, familiarizzazione navi chimiche, ) fino all'abilitazione a comandante Certificazione S.T.C.W. 1978/95 rilasciato il 28/1/2002.
Particolarmente significativa è la sua attività in campo culturale, per un decennio soprintende alla promozione delle grotte di Borgio Verezzi come presidente del Gruppo Grotte Borgio Verezzi. Nell'ambito delle esplorazioni ipogee visita il Marocco, l'Algeria e la Siria su invito del Ministro del Turismo Siriano.
Socio onorario dello Speleo Club de l'Aude et de l'Ariège (Francia).
In qualità di Presidente dell'Associazione per il Recupero del Genovesato, Bruno Aloi promuove nel 1986 la riapertura dei forti genovesi Sperone e Begato, con eventi di spettacolo, mentre partecipa all'iniziativa "Artisti per il Centro Storico" (1990).
Premio Regionale Ligure 1987.
Premio "Gente di Mare" 2002. Viareggio.
Socio onorario della Società Nazionale di Salvamento.
Tra le altre cariche assunte, lo ricordiamo presidente di Al Sham, associazione per le relazioni tra Italia e Siria contibuendo al gemellaggio della città di Genova con la città di Latakia (l'antica Laodicea).
